in defense of poor molly

Molly has it hard, she is just a mother who is trying
to raise everyone up right. I admit she was out of
line in OOPT with Sirius. But as for Harry, well she
can't help but look past the age thing and still think
of him as the poor parentless creature he is. She's
met the Dursleys and know that they weren't parents to
Harry growing up,so ever since he stayed in COS, she's
been determined to become the mother surrogate for him
and make up for lost years of not having a mother.
Plus, with everything going on in his life, she as the
mother doesn't want him to have more put on him than
she thinks he can handled. Now that doens't make her
right, she is mollycoddling him. And as for her own
family, well I think Arthur is lovable but
ineffectual, and someone has to make up for that. And
when parents are poor but interested in their kids
life, of course they want them to do well in the
academics life at school. It's frustrating to know
that your kids are smart but doesn't do well in
school. While I do enjoy the twins jokes, they
could've been studying harder before their 7th year. I
firmly believe they only went back their 7th year in
order to test their skiveboxes and start selling them.
My dad was Molly when it came to grades, if I got
anything below a B, it better have been because I was
trying my hardest, and still didn't understand the
material. And that was in high school, when I was
younger he frowned on C's alot because he knew that I
could do better. And Molly knows that the twins can do
better and that's why she pushed. And whoever said
she's like a Jewish mother, I can't remember who, when
you said that, I totally agreed. Does she need to back
off sometimes, yes she does. But she may be right in
knowing that Harry needs a mother to coddle him right
now. Harry's a teenage boy, so he wouldn't admit it
and of course doens't want it to happen in public, but
if the timings right and it's just the 2 of them Harry
would probably collapse into her opening arms and bawl
like a baby over everything's that has happened from
his parents to Sirius dying.
