He sent the order to teh store under Harry's name, and
taken out of his bank account at gringots, could it be
that when he became godfather to Harry he had Harry's
name to the account, so that when Harry was older at
any time regardless of why Harry could have the money.
Or else when the Godric HOllow's happened before he
went searching for Peter, he put Harry's name on the
account because he thought he wouldn't be around. And
knew that Harry would need it one day. Figuring on the
fact that he could expose Peter, kill him and be sent
to azkaban because he killed Peter.
