"Personally, I loved Molly more in OoP than I ever have before, just
as I loved both Sirius and Harry more when we see all three of them
cracking under the horrible stress they experience in this book.
IMO, it just makes them more real, more well-rounded characters."

Yes, that is how I felt, though I didn't express it so clearly in my earlier
post on this subject. I liked seeing these characters showing their
humanity, which has both admirable traits and some definite flaws. I have
often defended Harry in exactly the same way to friends who have complained
about his attitude in OOTP. I have pointed out his age, his fear and
stress, and I've said over and over, that we have to understand him from
that frame of reference. People with imperfections are far more interesting
than those who seem to be perfect and good and right all the time. It's the
same for me with characters in books. it's one of JKR's greatest gifts in
the books, that she can make us care so deeply about characters who are
irritating as often as they are wonderful.
