Wow! Some very interesting ideas. I hadn't thought of the gum
wrapper as passing messages. For me, one of the biggest clues comes
from Petunia. Her knowledge of the Dementors, Azkaban and her
response to the howler certainly let on she knows something. It
makes me wonder a lot about her since from the very beginning, her
hatred of all things magic is evident. Is she perhaps putting on a
good front for Vernon's sake? I don't have a theory about her yet,
but I wonder if she'll have some bigger importance later.
