Wonder why? Maybe the stitches don't hold if they're not done that way - a
bit like the idea of conjured food that doesn't nourish you.
There certainly _are_ meat-cutting charms, one is used to prepare supper at
Grimmauld Place.
Something about stitches themselves perhaps, after all, they don't work on
Arthur when he's in hospital either!
