Trelawney and ignorance

If Dumbledore has kept Trelawney at Hogwarts since he hired her and 
kept her ignorant about the circumstances on Voldemorts downfall - it 
has not been because he didn't want her to tell anyone about the 
prophecy - because Trelawney was in a trance (as she was when she 
predicted Voldemorts return in POA) and wouldn't even know - or 
remember - her own true prediction.
So - Dumbledore must have had another reason to keep her from going 
anywhere and learn about Harry.

I was wondering also - does Trelawney ever refer to Harry as being 
famous - or the one who caused Voldemorts downfall?
Isn't it so - or doesn't it seem - that she sees Harry as just 
another student with more danger to his life than most other 
students? 
It seems to me that she really doesn't know who Harry is....
