Or...that section of Honeydukes contains candy for the
something-
other-than-pure-wizard population. What if the blood
candy is for
the Vampires and the cockroach candy is for
werewolves? Remember
Lupin's Boggart? Perhaps he choked on one as a child.

Mo, now:
Why are cockroach clusters considered an item only
werewolves or vampires will eat.
Have any of you ever seen the mealworm in Tequila?
Ever heard of Escargo and Caviar (a.k.a. snails and
fish eggs) ?
Ever hear of people eating brain, chocolate covered
ants, tongue, or mold? Mold?, you say... (yes, LOTS
of cheeses are quite moldy...)
People eat some strange stuff....
Now, being that this is the wizarding world, it
wouldn't surprise me if some wizards or witches have a
cockroach fetish and like to munch on these
high-protein, crunchy little snacks. While most
wizards might not have a taste for your
run-of-the-mill cockroach, some wizards might find it
a rather nice little delicacy.
Just a thought to throw into the subject...
~Mo
