Sirius, James and Snape - A History

While we're on the subject of  the possibility of a family relationship between black haired antagonists: why not a James and Snape link? This may have been discussed here before - if so, my apologies - but I find that more likely than Snape/Sirius.  I get the gut impression (and nothing more) that Sirius' anatagonism toward Snape (and the reciprocal) is more an offshoot of the James/Snape tension than anything that originated between the two of them. Hmmmmmm  brothers in love with the same girl!!!
