There is indeed a mark on DD's head between his left
eyebrow and his hairline, a slight darkish something that seems to
me to be in the shape of a lowercase 'h.' It could be a scar or even
(Richard Harris having been in his 70s when the scene was shot) a
varicose vein. <snip>

Perhaps we'll all just have to wait until we see if the "new" movie!
Dumbledore also has the faint scar, or if it was just something
unique to Richard Harris. Anyone seen any suspicious stills from the
POA movie?

Well, I haven't had a chance to check the PS/SS DVD yet. But the
image of Richard Harris/Dumbledore on Disc2 of the US edition of COS
doesn't really show anything suspicious.

On the other hand, the most recent POA trailer seems to show an
interesting group of lines between Michael Gambon/Dumbledore's left
eyebrow and his hairline, though it's inconclusive. I thought I might
see an upper case "H", but right now I'm leaning towards a map of
Minnesota. If you look at it long enough, several of the lines might
seem to link together in a sort of ragged lightning bolt. Very light
in color though--quite likely nothing more than Gambon's own forehead.
