Grindelwald Dumbledore Forests and Curse Scars (long)

In the information-packed first chapter of PS, Dumbledore stated that he has a scar above his left knee that is a perfect map of the London Underground, and also that scars can come in handy.  Perhaps this is a curse scar?

I wondered about the missing "never" too
