I'm leaning toward Caesian view on this issue (assuming I understand
it correctly).
Here are the names of the FOUR schools as I see them-
-Hogwarts
-Durmstrang
-Beauxbatons
-none of the above
Remember the Goblet has been 'befuddled' so it is a little confused at
the moment. If Harry's name was in the Goblet with no school name, the
confounded Goblet might see it as not Hogwarts (already pick that
champion), not Durmstrang (already pick that champion), not
Beauxbatons (already pick that champion), which only leaves 'other'.
In other words, one champion was selected from each group of matching
school names. Harry's name was selected from the group (of one) with a
school un-named.
Restated, one named champion from each unique group of submissions; a
blank school name would have respesented a unique group of submissions.
Alternately, Harry's name could have been written (minus the brackets)
[Harry Potter . ]. In that case, the contestant would be 'Harry
Potter' and the school would have been '.' (period).
The alternate alternative, is that a random word was written in
invisible ink, to represent the fourth school; Harry Potter of the
invisible school of [oddballs].
So, I agree it is possible for Harry, to the confused Goblet, to
represent a four un-named school or not obviously named school.
Just a thought.
