Well, we do have canon that in some cases teachers seem to have accomodation
very close to their offices, I think.
JKR does actually say in OoP (239, UK ed) that Lockhart had "lived" in
Umbridge's office. I suppose the fact that Lupin was packing a *suitcase* in his
office just before he left, doesn't necessarily mean that he kept his clothes
there, but it implies it.
For Lockhart, the evidence is stronger:
"His office had been almost completely stripped. Two large trunks
stood open on the floor. Robes, jade-green, lilac, midnightblue, had
been hastily folded into one of them; "
and again,
"Well, as to that - most unfortunate -" said Lockhart, avoiding their
eyes as he wrenched open a drawer and started emptying the contents
into a bag. "No one regrets more than I -"

"You're the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher!" said Harry.
"You can't go now! Not with all the Dark stuff going on here!"

"Well - I must say - when I took the job -" Lockhart muttered, now
piling socks on top of his robes. "nothing in the job description - didn't
expect -"
which certainly implies that he had a sock drawer in his office.
Then again, when Trelawney is sacked (P526, UK ed), the impliction (although
it is not specified) is that her "lodgings" are connected to her room in the
North Tower, as Dumbledore makes the point that the new divination teacher
will prefer lodgings on the ground floor. Also on Christmas Day, in PoA ( P
169, UK pb) she sees herself abandoning her solitary luncheon in her crystal
ball and "hastened from her tower" which was evidently where she was spending
the day and planning to eat until then.

No, but In GoF he is in his nightshirt when he heard banging and the egg
wailing and he *passes his office* on the way to the commotion at the foot of
the stairs, the implication to me being that they are in close proximity.
There is mention somewhere of "The Charms Corridor". I wonder if some or all
of the teachers have suites of rooms comprising, a classroom, an office and
living accommodation, all in close proximity, possibly with office and
sleeping quarters interconnecting (though apparently not in Snape's case)
I'm not sure about the en-suite facilities that Steve suggests the teachers
have. Given that Dumbledore found the Room of Requirement when he took a
wrong turn to the bathroom at 5.30 am, either he gets up very early or he doesn't
have a private bathroom.
