I'm aaware of that one. If JKR was closing the door on the H/H ship,
it would be the first plot element she ever did so for. I think it's
fair to say that quote was made before the publication of GoF and
fairly reflects the state of affairs *then*. IOW, did Harry and
Hermione have a date in GoF? They didn't, and haven't yet, actually.
Neither have Ron and Hermione that we can be sure of.
JKR means for everything to be open.
