What's in it for Snape? Finding motive...

I read your post Kneasy, and it was very good.  I also think that 
Snape hates Voldy. The past several weeks there has been discussion 
on fake Moody's comment to Snape about how some marks never go 
away/change? (I'm paraphrasing because I don't have the page number. 
Does this site have a quotes listing?) Anyway, posters were focusing 
on whether the mark hurt Snape... 
But those posts got me thinking about what Moody was actually 
implying to Snape. Most people seem to think that Snape is loyal, and 
has respect for DD. They also think that he has genuine concern for 
Minerva, and his other colleagues. But does he? Snape often changes 
his tone around the kids when DD and Minerva show up. Could it be 
because he doesn't want them to see how nasty he is to the children --
Harry in particular. 

Remember when fake Moody threatened Snape? He threatened to tell DD 
how badly Snape treated Harry? (I really need these quotes!) What if 
Moody was telling Snape something altogether else.  

For ewxample: "Snape, you may have everyone in this school fooled, 
but I know you better. I know that you no longer are a DE, but your 
not in the Order. I know that you, unlike some people, cannot cover 
up (what we think means the dark mark comment)what you are/change 
your spots. The only cause your interested in is yourself. I know 
what your game is at this school, and what your real intentions 
towards Harry are, so you better stay out of my way or I'm going to 
tell DD."
