Hi,
I was reading Book 3 again last night and I was struck by something
about Peter's transformation when he killed those 12 people. I was
wondering what had happened to his wand? You require a wand to work
out a curse and he transformed right afterwards. As a rat he couldn't
carry his wand. So it must have been lying around. Just as his
clothes were. But there is no mention of it. Shouldn't this have
served as an anamalous indicator for those who were investigating hsi
death?
I haven't followed up with Book4 but how does he do magic there? I
presume he uses Voldemrt's wand. That still means he doesn't have a
wand. Maybe getting a real wand is a risky business in wizard world
which wold result in detection. Is that the reason why he has been
absent from Book5?
This leads me to many questions:
1) We know from Hagrid's experience that whenever a wizard is
sentenced to Azkaban his wand is broken. Then how come Sirius and all
the other death eaters get their wands back? And if they can why
couldn't Peter for a whole year from the time he escaped till the
time Voldemort rises again?
2)And there is this about transfiguration. When you transfigure your
clothes and other physical possessions just lie around. There are
many suggestions about this. Which means you cannot carry your wand
after you have transfigured. yet when Minerva Mcgonagall tranforms in
Book 3 she is holding her wand immediately after she transformed
back into a human. And whenever she transforms there is no
suggestion that her clothes were lying around. Though this is the
case in Peter's transformation because they found the clothes also.
Why the inconsistencies?
3) Peter chipped off his toe before transforming in Book 3. I have
many doubts regarding its timing and plausibility, but still as a rat
his toe is missing. Suggesting that there is a correlation between
human parts and animal parts when a wizard transforms into an animal.
But many animals do not have organs that are found in humans and they
have extra organs which are not found in humans. How do people
transforming into these animals manage with it?
4) Is a wizard's patronus same as the form he takes as an animagus?
I know there is no evidence for this question in the canon but still.
