It's not a matter of decent anymore. If the DA become official, and 
the War is truly on, then everyone, Slytherin or not, will have to 
choose between holding House grudges, or fighting evil. It will be 
tough for everyone involved : the Slytherins because they'll have to 
accept Harry as their leader (under DD's super-leadership, I would 
guess), and the others because they'll have to accept some 
unfriendly Slytherins in their ranks. If the current DA members felt 
uncomfortable working alongside students from another "good" House, 
that was nothing compared to what it will be working alongside 
Slytherins.

The parallel with the Order is so striking that I do hope Harry will 
remember it when the first Slytherins come his way, and he has to 
take them in and deal with them. I hope he remembers how Sirius's 
unwillingness to work with Snape brought only disaster, and how 
Lupin's diplomacy was such a better way. "You don't have to like 
someone to work with them" : here's a lesson Harry (and others) 
*desperately* needs to learn !
