I'm re-reading OotP, now that the Spanish version as been released,
and I found something about the Harry-Cho relationship. I think J.K.
Rowling put some details on the book to tell us that she isn't the
good one. Well, it's true that nowadays we all know that. But besides
this, I think those details are there, just to confirm that there
won't be a reconciliation. That there must be someone else who will
became Harry's true love. For example, as all we know, Harry has
fancied Cho for ages, but he has done almost anything to get her.

In book four he's just resigned to see her with Diggory, after she
declined his invitation to the Yule Ball. In book five, it's she
who's after him since the beginning, in the train, in the corridors,
and of course on the pre-Christmas DA meeting. It's she who kissed
him, as Harry said afterwards when he met Hermione and Ron: "She was
the one who stared it. –I wouldn'tve- She just sort of came at me
"

I think Cho was only a crush for Harry, but not true love. When you
love someone you just can be as passive as Harry was with her. I
think when Harry takes advantage on the relationship, when he looks
for the girl, when he's the one who shows his feelings to her, it's
only then when it can be seen as true love.
