I know I post too much, but I had this very thought yesterday. I've just started re-reading PoA and this hit me like a bolt of lightning (well, maybe not quite that hard). Just another little addition to my theory that the one in the prophecy is going to be Neville.
Griffin782002 now:
I really do not understand why Neville should be the one in the phophecy. What is Dumbledore say to Harry in the end? "I am sorry Harry but the prophecy wasn't for you but for Neville. And I am sorry for losing your parents because of a mistake."
And it feels to me like discrediting the whole thing that it does not matter the origin of your bloodline, but what decisions you make (Harry is half blood, Neville is a pure blood). But I can't deny that Neville might play a much bigger role in future books. And of course, I don't want to say that what happened to Neville's parents was better than what happened to Harry's.
