No one says that they don't.  Its just a matter of how Squibs would be seen 
in the WW. The WW is very mistrustful of those that are different. Lupin is 
proof of that.  I just don't how a squib would fare any better.  The cousin just 
happens to possess a talent that would afford him a good living in the wider 
Muggle world.
