Eleanor again:

I said that because it's the sort of thing my critiquers used to tell
me all the time.  ("Used to" because I am not in a critique group at
the moment.)  They'd see connections in the story that I hadn't.  I
would have said "beta reader" not "editor" but I don't know whether
JKR would have had any.
