spells, and receive important items that become important (often in 
their survival) later in the books.

I think in GoF (was it?) Hermione mentions that human transfiguration 
is taught in 6th year. 

It's about time the transfiguration teacher became more important. (I 
mean this is DD & MM's specialty!) And MM did say that she was going 
to help Harry become an Auror--and so perhaps she will be able to get 
him to start seriously focusing on his studies.

Aside from this, how do you think transfiguration will be worked into 
the story line?
