Aren't there three instances? Could there be more?
1: Hermione!cat and Harry&Ron!Crabbe&Goyle (or Goyle&Crabbe, I forget which)
2: Crouch!Moody
3: MaCrouch!SonCrouch and SonCrouch!MaCrouch (chronologically, this one
should be first or second, though we found out about it last)
JKR seems to have shown us both the usefulness and dangers of this tool,
though less explicitly than with the time-turner. Hermione made an
assumption about the hair from Millicent's robes and paid the price. Is
this the only time (ha!) she's been incautious? I'll have to think about that.
