Silly random thought: Perhaps it will be Voldemort who decides to end 
it on *his* terms, for instance, suppose he's willing to go but wants 
to take his greatest enemy, Dumbledore, out with him?

What if the situation in the ministry at the end of OotP had been 
reversed?  What if Harry had one shot at Voldemort, but Voldemort was 
holding Dumbledore around the throat at the time?  And Dumbledore was 
urging Harry to take the shot?  What would Harry do?  More 
importantly, what will he do in two years?
