Why in jest?
I find Peeves extremely interesting - what does he add to the books 
except for chaos? He moves the story along by snitching on students, 
but then again, he salutes the Weasley twins and obeys their 
injunction to give Umbridge hell.
We're told noone controls him except for the Bloody Baron, and we've 
never been given a glimpse on how that might work.
What's Peeves doing in Hogwarts?
