Geoff:
Maybe not so strong as to be not loved, but I read into the scene at 
Borgin and Burkes  (COS "At Flourish and Blotts" pp.42-44 UK edition) 
that he is undervalued by Lucius; the latter doesn't come over as the 
sort of father I would have wanted....

Again, Lucius comes over in other scenes as being more interested 
in "Number One" than in what anyone else needs or feels.
