Thank you for that thought. It helped me to remember something
important to this discussion. In Christianity the only real sin
from which we can not recover is the choice to go against God.
People don't get "possessed" like in the movies. They choose that
path and the choosing in not a one time thing, but a progression
over time. At the end of their life a person who ALWAYS makes the
choice to go towards the darkness will show very little, if any of
the original light that was in them at their birth. They would
become, as Tom has, some very ugly thing that is half snake.
I also thing that Draco is not like Tom, he will be ok in the end.
