Perhaps it's just a bit esoteric (I think that's the word), but even 
if a cure existed - would Remus accept it?  He's lived so much of his 
life as a werewolf - I doubt he remembers what it would be like to 
see the full moon through human eyes - and it has been so much a 
defining part of him - would he want to give that up?

I mean, for all that he says that he has found it difficult to find 
paid work because of his lycanthropy and all that - he never once 
really expresses regret or bitterness over his condition.  I kind of 
think that he's embraced his inner wolf, so to speak, and is very 
happy with himself as he is.
