No, no, I think you missed the key word "not" in that parenthetical 
statement!

So you would like for Snape to change.  I always love asking this 
question:  Do you have a vision of how Snape could change in a 
manner which would both convince Harry he's "an okay guy" and be 
believable to us readers?  

Or have I misunderstood which direction you're hoping things go?
