Tammy replies:
I think it coems down to purpose. Flamel, presumably, sought
immortality for either a noble purpose or just because he was afraid
of death. Voldemort on the other hand seeks immortality so that he can
use it to gain more power over others. Perhaps it's yet another lesson
that it's not what you do, but why you do it.
But then again, isn't just another life lesson that the "good people"
can get away with whatever they like, while the "bad people" who try
to do the same things get yelled at for it?
