Yes, I can certainly see Peter fanning existing feelings of
uneasines into outright suspicion - to avert it from himself.
Though I'm still not sure whether Remus thought Sirius was the spy
before Godric's Hollow or only afterward, when the Potters were
betrayed and everyting pointed to Sirius.
