Personally, I see Snape as a rather static character and would be
disappointed with this type of resolution.  We may find out more about
his past but I don't see him evolving as a character in this way. He
and Malfoy are too important as contrasting characters for Dumbledore,
the trio, etc. I am certain, however, we will find out why Dumbledore
trusts Snape and all the events surrounding that issue.
