Alla:

Sorry, but to me  the fact that the primary reason for Order 
existence is fighting the war with Voldie supports the contention 
that Order is military organisation, I don't think any extra 
references even warrnted. JMO, of course. :o)

And I completely agree with Susan - Snape was given an order from 
his commander. He screwed it up in spectacular way, regardless of 
others screwed ups.
