Are you sure??? The Potters were told the prophecy, they knew the exact 
wording of it. Don't you think James would have told Sirius??
I think he did, he told Sirius the prophecy in its whole, he wanted him to 
be his secret keeper after all.  I don't think they told Lupin, because they 
suspected he was the spy and they certainly didn't told Peter, but I'm 
possitivee Sirius knew what it was about.
