Who does Sevvy hate most in all the world (with the possible exception of
James)?
Where's the risk in leaving Sirius to rot in Azkaban?
James and Lily knew that Sirius was innocent, but they're dead.
Voldemort knew, but he's dispersed and disembodied.
Peter knew, but (as far as anyone knew at the time) he's dead too.
If any of the other DE lieutenants knew, they're not going to spill the
beans.
I can see Sevvy allowing himself a little smirk, just one, mind you, at the
thought that he's in the clear and the Marauders are no more. After all,
Sirius won't last long in Azkaban, no one does...
A dish best eaten cold.
Cheers
