It could be. It would make me feel better for not identifying too much
with Harry and much more with Ron (I'm just a normal, average person
after all, I don't identify too well with over-talented heroes).

Amen to that !!
The ending of PS/SS was one major reason I loved the book so much :
because it showed that people are so much stronger when working
together. Harry was alone when he faced Quirrellmort, but he would
never have gotten to the Mirror Room to start with if it hadn't been
for Ron and Hermione.
