Patrick:
Indeed you are quite right, JKR has done a lot to mislead us in the
past. But I simply cannot see where she is going if she has mislead us
concerning the origin of the OOtP and Flamel's place in history.

I'd also like to point out that Flamel is based on a real person and
thus far JKR has steered clear of using real people as main characters
or main plot tools.

So, I remain skeptical.
