This made me smile, because in OotP this is exactly what
Hermione did do (scramble and fall, whimper in fear).

She isn't always like that, fortunately ;)

Ugggh. Yes, I'm glad she isn't always like that too. But, Hermione 
has more than once saved Ron and Harry's skin.
