Dysis:
This would be true, but DD mentions that Harry is also protected by 
an "ancient magic" that LV "has neglected" (or something to that 
effect; I don't have my books with me ^^;;). Lily might have cast 
the special spell on Harry, in the form of an Eihwaz rune. The rune 
protects against dark magic. It may not have been visible at first, 
but after LV's spell reflected off of Harry, then it became visible -
- as a scar, of course.
