DEFINITELY!!! There are lots of little details and epsiodes that happened in the books that did not make it to the movie. There are also things in the movies that were not in the books. If you're just planning on being a casual reader, that's fine. But if you're going to be a "hard-core" fan (i.e. crazy *g*) then you'll definitely want to read the first two books so you can form opinions about characters and the plot and make predictions for the future. There are characters not even *in* the movies (like Peeves and Scabbers (c'mon...he's really not in them that much!). And besides, the books are *ALWAYS* better! *g*
