JuHu interjects:
I think it interesting that Tonks said "My Head of
House" rather that "Professor so-and-so." It would
almost seem she were deliberately not saying who her
head was, because saying a head's name would not need
further clarification for all present. They would know
that Professor so-and-so was a head of house, and
therefore head of *her* house. (If you didn't follow
that, don't worry, I'm having trouble following it
myself)

And besides, doesn't the Headmaster pick prefects? I
suppose the Heads of House would have some input.
