I just figured the WW was a lot like RL Britain in this regard:  they
had the death penalty in the not-so-distant past but they don't
anymore. Maybe the Unspeakables don't even use the veil to study death
anymore for that reason, though anyway it's hard to imagine how they'd
do that.  I wonder what happens if you stick your hand in and then
pull it out?
