I guess it just comes down to how cynical a person you are. Cynical
person that I am ;) I believe that JKR might be fudging just a bit in
order to get us to believe our eyes rather than our hearts. This theme
of "faith in the face of hopelessness" is something I think will
become very important in future books.
The books seem to point to one thing, and the interviews seem to point
us in another direction. Just looking at the books, the signs seem to
be all there for Sirius' return. Looking at the interviews, he is
truly dead.
