Durmstrang in Scandinavia?

Krum is only one student. I don't think we know where the others are
from. In any case, Bulgaria is just north or Greece and Turkey and
wouldn't fit the criteria for Durmstrang's location (so far north that
the nights are longer than they are in Scotland). I hold with Russia
(which fits with Karkaroff's nationality) until someone provides the
link to JKR's statement that Durmstrang is in Scandinavia.
