Greetings to all, this is my first post !

I'm sure that others have had the same idea (I have looked a little, 
but not much admittedly)  but  I've always thought that perhaps one 
reason Petunia ignores the magical world is that Lily and Petunia 
might be the daughters of squibs - that you explain her bitterness 
that her parents were always "Lily this" or "Lily that"...  so 
perhaps, as in Neville's case, she just wasn't quite magical enough 
to attend Hogwarts - and maybe it comes out in the end ?
