lmao - and now for one of the most discussed subjects around here! Actually
she said about 1000 which fits with the crowds we see at quidditch games but
doesn't match the rest of the evidence we've been given. I've yet to see
*anyone* fit all the figures together in a convincing manner.

Just suspend disbelief and accept that JKR is somewhat 'numerically
challenged' on occasion. I think there's an essay on this subject in
Fantastic Posts and at the Lexicon.
