Do trolls have tailors?

Re-reading The Philosopher's Stone, I came across something that 
seems to have passed me by on the first umpteen readings.It's on Page 
130 when Harry retrieves his wand from the troll's nostril.
. " He bent down and pulled his wand out of the troll's nose.  It was 
covered in what looked like lumpy grey glue.

"Urgh - troll bogies."

He wiped it on the troll's trousers"
 
The troll's trousers...The troll's trousers!!!!I had always imagined 
that the troll, if it wore anything at all, would be sporting a loin 
cloth, like the cave troll in LOTR.  Presumably baby trolls (if you 
can picture such a thing) aren't born wearing trousers, like Pip's 
deceased little brothers in Great Expectations.  So where would a 
troll's trousers come from?  Is there a special trolls' outfitter? I 
should imagine they would have to be made to order, given the unusual 
measurements of your average troll. I have now got this damned stupid 
picture in my mind of the troll wearing jeans.
