Hitomi, I have to agree with you.  I just don't see JKR doing things that are outside of the character's nature.  At this point there are a few characters that we have come to know fairly well.  Snape does not strike me as the hurt in love type.  And furthermore, I don't think JKR would cheat (Dumbledore and timetravel).
