We looked at book covers and the mark on the baby Harry in the SS 
movie.  It was easier to see the scar on the covers of foreign 
editions, oddly enough.  We finally concluded that it's the sowelo 
or life force rune, but it is a matter of conjecture or 
interpretation as it isn't always consistant.  The Grand Pre 
illustrations are more difficult to see or interpret for some reason.
