Demetra:  My thoughts exactly.  My daughter - a great Sirius fan -  can't believe that I find him boorish and suspect.  I've tried to excuse his excesses:  years in prison, bad childhood, friends murdered...but no, I can't do it. I predict we'll learn some terrible things about him in books 6 and 7.
