Well, I think that using that particular quote can be a double-edged 
sword for your argument that R/Hr is as "subtle as getting hit in the 
head with a brick" because JKR uses "worked this one out".

If R/Hr is as obvious as getting hit in the head with a brick, there 
will be nothing to work out.
